Disclosure policy
Free licence-record pages are generated from the California DCC register. Their subjects do not pay to appear, and those pages carry no score. A supplier pays a $49 review fee only when it requests a scored evidence review. That is the only money this site takes.
What the fee pays for
One evaluation of one licensed California supplier against the five published criteria, a written result, and publication for 12 months. It is charged before the result is known. A weak score costs the same as a strong one.
What the fee cannot do
- Move any criterion from weak to strong.
- Change where a company appears in the order.
- Remove a published recall or enforcement record.
- Buy a review that is not labeled as paid.
Where you will see this disclosed
Every scored review carries a note that its subject paid the review fee. Free licence-record pages say that no score has been assigned. The submission page states the terms before payment.
Timing and refunds
We request evidence within two business days after confirmed payment and publish within ten business days after the requested documents arrive. If we cannot start within five business days, the supplier can request a refund. An unflattering result, weak evidence, or documents that were not supplied does not qualify for a refund.
What else this site earns
Nothing. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored placements, no advertising, and no products for sale. If that changes, it will be described here before it appears anywhere else.
Disputing a score
A published finding can be challenged through the corrections process, which needs evidence. There is no paid route to a different score.
